One of the Isle of Wight's most popular annual events, Walk the Wight, returns this weekend.
Hundreds of walkers take part each year to raise vital funds for charity, Mountbatten.
Here's all you need to know about the 2024 event...

Mountbatten’s flagship fundraiser – Walk the Wight – returns on Sunday, May 12.
How much does it cost to take part in Walk the Wight?
The deadline for walker packs to be sent in the post has now passed, but you can still register online.
If doing this, walker packs and numbers must be collected from your chosen start line on event day.
There is an entry fee of £15 for walkers to take part and this also includes a medal at the finishing line.
How long is the Walk the Wight route?
Famed for being the largest walk of its kind in Europe, the iconic 26.5-mile route from Bembridge to The Needles takes in the best of the Island’s glorious countryside and scenery.
For something more manageable, there are two half walks (12.5 or 14 miles) – Bembridge to Carisbrooke or Carisbrooke to The Needles, plus the wheelchair-accessible, pushchair-friendly eight-mile Flat Walk between Sandown and Shide.
There is also a four-mile walk for schools, which goes from Freshwater to The Needles.

What is the incentive for top fundraisers?
Top fundraisers, those who raise more than £500 by April 12, will receive a special keepsake and be invited to a VIP Walk the Wight reception ahead of the event.
Will there be travel discounts this year?
Participants can travel on any Southern Vectis bus for free on the day, but you must wear your walker number or Walk the Wight medal.
Discounts are also available for those travelling to the Island by ferry.
On Wightlink and Red Funnel, you can save 20 per cent on vehicle and passenger fares at www.redfunnel.co.uk/walkthewight and www.wightlink.co.uk/explorer/walk-the-wight.
Hovertravel is offering an early flight to ensure walkers get to the start line on time.
The early flight departs from Southsea at 6.15am and must be booked online in advance.
Where are the toilets and drink stops along the walk?
Mountbatten has put together a handy map, showing where the toilet and drink stops are along the route.
There will also be traders along the route selling hot and cold food and beverages.
Can I take my dog to Walk the Wight?
Yes, and special Walk the Wight bandanas are available to anyone wanting to kit out their dog in event merchandise.
Please be extra vigilant on farmland where livestock live.
