FOR AN evening of slamtastic fun, an evening of full throttle bouts for wrestling fans of all ages is coming — to an Isle of Wight primary school!
A new-look Isle of Wight wrestling show — The Fire Rises — will be making its debut at Barton School, on Pan Estate, Newport, this evening (Saturday).
Phoenix Pro Wrestling touches down with its very first family show, featuring talent from the Island, around the UK and beyond.
Created by local wrestling royalty, Luna Trix and Rudi Root, the event aims to widen its appeal to an already growing entertainment industry on the Island.
Having been involved in wrestling across the country as part of a wide variety of promotions, Luna and Rudi decided to pool all their knowledge and experience to start their own promotion and bring in new friends — and some familiar faces — back to their home town and offer Island wrestling fans a new experience.
Fans should be prepared for an epic night, filled with laughs, fun and world class wrestling — from gravity-defying aerial assaults to bone-crushing submissions", said promoter, Luna Trix.
"Every match promises to be a roller coaster of emotions for fans of all ages.
“We're so excited to bring the next level of entertainment to the Isle of Wight.
"This is wresting remade and we can't wait for fans to experience what we have planned.”
There will be refreshments, wrestling merchandise and a photo booth.
