An investigation is ongoing after a teenage boy was threatened with a knife and almost hit by a car near a former Isle of Wight hotel on Wednesday (April 24).
Yesterday evening, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary received a report of a teenage boy being threatened with a knife in Sandown.
It was reported to police that, during a verbal altercation between a man and a 15-year-old boy, the man threatened the boy while holding a 'flick knife'.
The incident is said to have happened between 8pm and 8.30pm at the disused Manor Spa Hotel (Melville Hall Hotel) on Melville Street.
The teenager and his friends ran away from the scene to escape the man, said police.
A short while later, it was reported that as the boys were walking down the street, a car, described as a black Nissan Note, mounted the pavement, causing them to jump out of the way.
Police enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
