WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

NEWPORT: Betty Haunt Lane will be shut during bridge inspection works, between its junctions with Forest Road and Newport Footpath 148, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday.

Also, School Lane will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Highfield Road and Staplers Road, over one shift sometime between Tuesday and Thursday.

High Street will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Quay Street and Coppins Bridge, between 7pm on Monday and  6.30am on Tuesday.

Whitcombe Road will close during utility works, between its junctions with Castle Hill and Newport Cemetery access road, from 8.30am on Monday until 4.30pm on Friday, April 26. 

Alternative routes will be signposted.

CHALE: The Terrace will close during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Wednesday, May 8. There is no alternative route.

SHANKLIN: Avenue Road will close during iron works, between its junctions with Wilton Park Road and Milford Road, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday.

Also, Whitecross Avenue will shut during excavation and investigation works, between its junctions with princes Way and Ninham Close, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday.

Alternative routes will be signposted.

HAVENSTREET: Main Road will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Speed Lane and Church Road, over one shift sometime between Tuesday and Thursday. An alternative route will be signposted.

GODSHILL: Hollow Lane will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with High Street and Paddock Close, over one shift sometime between Tuesday and Thursday. An alternative route will be signposted.

RYDE: Grenville Drive will close during utility works, between its junctions with Oakwood Road and Wrexham Avenue, from 8am on Monday until 3pm on Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.

THORLEY: Main Road will close during utility works, between its junction with Lee Farm access road and Wellow Top Road, between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday. An alternative route will be signposted.

SHORWELL: Walkers Lane will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Farriers Way and Limerstone Road, between 7am on Monday and 5pm on Friday, April 26. An alternative route will be signposted.

CALBOURNE: Lynch Lane will close during utility works, between its junctions with Winkle Street and Calbourne and Porchfield footpath 19. An alternative route will be signposted.

BRIGHSTONE: Chilton Lane will close during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Thursday. An alternative route will be signposted.

BINSTEAD: Church Road will shut during utility works, between a point 100m north and 100m south of its junction with Quarr Road. An alternative route will be signposted.

SEAVIEW: Nettlestone Hill will close utility works, between its junctions with Ryde Bridleway 95 and the access to Nettlestone Primary School, between 7pm on Tuesday and 6am on Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.
