POLICE are investigating the discovery of "possible human remains" on a beach at Bembridge.
The grim discovery was found near Bembridge Coast Hotel and reported to the authorities.
A spokesperson from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said: "We received reports from a member of the public about the discovery of possible human remains on a beach in Bembridge on the Isle of Wight just before 7.40pm on Saturday, April 13.
"Officers have attended and the possible remains will be recovered in due course for analysis.
"Enquiries are ongoing and at this stage we are unable to confirm if the discovery is human remains."
