Police have released an update after a collision between a car and a bicycle on the Isle of Wight this morning (Tuesday, April 9).
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary were called just before 11.50am to reports of a collision on Hunnycross Way in Newport.
The collision involved a Hyundai IX35 and a cyclist at the roundabout connecting Hunnycross and River Way outside Lidl.
Immediate Closure for Hunnycross Way, between its junction with Hunnyhill and its junction with Riverway, Newport.

Police teams, alongside crews from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, were sent to the scene, and Hunnycross Way was closed.
A police spokesperson has confirmed the cyclist, a woman in her 70s from Newport, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
