As previously reported by the County Press, the entire Ryde Pier Head to Portsmouth service was suspended this morning following a mechanical issue.
The earlier mechanical issue has now been repaired, Wightlink said, and the FastCat will return to service at 4.15pm.
Wightlink's vehicle ferries between Fishbourne to Portsmouth are running with 20 minute delays, while the Yarmouth to Lymington service is unaffected.
Hovertravel services between Ryde and Southsea are also operating on time.
Meanwhile, Red Funnel cancelled its hi-speed foot passenger service between Cowes and Southampton this afternoon.
The 3.35pm Red Jet sailing from Southampton and the 4.10pm crossing from Cowes were both cancelled by the cross-Solent operator.
Red Funnel says this is due to 'deteriorating weather conditions," and apologised for the inconvenience to its customer's journeys.
UPDATE 4.25PM
Red Jet 16:45 from Southampton and 17:20 from Cowes cancelled due to deteriorating weather conditions. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to your journey.
