AN ISLE of Wight road has reopened and a cyclist has been taken to hospital following a serious crash on Lake Hill this morning (Saturday).
Isle of Wight Police cordoned off a section of Lake Hill earlier today following a collision involving a car and a bike.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene.
The incident resulted in considerable traffic delays, with motorists having to divert.
The cyclist's injuries are serious but not life-changing, the force has confirmed.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary was alerted to the collision at around 9.30am.
They went on to say the force is investigating a crash at the zebra crossing, near Tesco Express.
The road has since reopened and traffic is flowing again.
