Popular Isle of Wight shop House of Chilli to reopen this Easter

Based at the Branstone shopping destination Holliers Park, House of Chilli stands alongside a big family of locally run businesses, including Holliers Tunnel Market, The Bus Stop Cafe, Sensory Island, Green Barn Antiques and Underground Utopia.

Due to unforeseen sad circumstances, the store, which specialises in a wide range of Isle of Wight-produced chilli-based products, closed suddenly in November last year, and its doors have remained shut ever since.

However, after moving to a more compact and manageable space within Holliers Park, the House of Chilli team is excited to reopen to the public on Easter Saturday (March 30).

With a range of products suited to all tastes, from full-on fiery food enthusiasts to those who prefer a calmer level of spice, with a tasting table.

Customers can expect to find the products they love, with more teased to be coming soon.

The store will also launch some charity-based programmes, in partnership with Island charity John's Club, for those who suffer from mental health issues – with a trainer teaching them about chillies and helping them achieve their level two skills in English and maths.

House of Chilli’s reopening coincides with the Holliers Park Easter Fun Day event, where all the venue’s businesses will participate.

Sensory Island will be open for pre-booked Easter-themed sensory play, The Bus Stop Cafe will cater a special Easter menu, and the Holliers Tunnel Market will offer a host of Easter competitions.

The event, which gets underway at the 10.30am opening time, will also boast a bouncy castle, face painting, glitter tattoos and a photo booth.

A percentage of takings from all businesses at the shopping destination will go to Daisy Chains IW.
