A mainland trip to Centre Parcs is on the cards, thanks to a brand new 12-seater minibus for the Isle of Wight charity, The Way Forward Programme.
The minibus, which will be used to transport customers to and from the charity's centre on Daish Way in Newport, as well as for daily sessions and respite holidays, was purchased with the aid of a £14,000 Isle of Wight Foundation grant.
An additional £10,000 was self-funded.
The Isle of Wight Foundation, established by Island Roads, grants funds to Island causes annually and has distributed over £750,000 in the past decade.
The Way Forward Programme, part of Osel Enterprises, offers support to those with physical and learning disabilities, autism, and those recovering from mental ill health.
Tracey Hill, The Way Forward chief executive, said: "We are going on a four-night holiday to Centre Parcs in Longleat, and it will ensure everyone has a good journey.
"I would like to thank Island Roads and the Isle of Wight Foundation.
"Over the years, they have given us several grants that have made a huge difference.
"Moreover, they have also really taken an interest in what we do and we have formed a very strong partnership."
