A host of community awards have been handed out by Isle of Wight radio station, Vectis Radio.
The Isle of Wight Community Awards were presented at the The Riverside Centre in Newport on March 15, by High Sheriff, Dawn Haig-Thomas.
Gold, silver and bronze accolades were awarded.
Among the top prizes, the Community Project of the Year gold award went to Wight Horse CIC.
Men Only IOW won gold for New Community Project of the Year.
The Isle of Wight Prostate Cancer Support Group was handed gold in the People Focused Community Project of the Year category.
Animal Focused Community Project of the Year saw gold handed to the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary.
Gold awards were also given to Kafuta Tumbung School Trust; Dale Hillier of the Veterans Hub, for Volunteer of the Year; and Kirsty Chapman of the The Better Days Café, who was named Inspirational Person of the Year, after a public vote.
Community Champion was Stef Burgess of Caffe Isola and Community Hero was Dale Hillier.
Fundraiser of the Year was Kathryn Grimes of the Wight Brainy Bunch.
Vectis Radio's station manager, Ian Mac, said: “It was humbling to be in the same room as all of these people who work tirelessly for our Island community."
