A 35-year-old has been arrested following an attempted burglary at a shop in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said it was called to Shanklin News on Regent Street at 11.06am on Sunday, March 17.
Police said attempts had been made to break-in to the store, some time between 10pm on March 16 and 5am on March 17.
Damage had been caused to the door of the premises.
A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.
He remains in custody at this time.
