A cricket coach from the Isle of Wight has admitted a series of serious child sex abuse offences.
Stephen Maidment, of Beachfield Road, Sandown, appeared at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on Monday, March 18.
He pleaded guilty to four counts, including attempting to cause/incite a female child aged under 13 years to engage in sexual activity; making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child; attempting to cause a child aged under 13 years to watch/look at an image of sexual activity; and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
The offences took place on the Isle of Wight between November 4 and December 15, 2019.
Court heard how the 39-year-old, described in court as a cricket coach, had devices seized for examination before the Covid lockdown.
Maidment is due to be sentenced on April 30.
