AN ISLE of Wight Porsche driver caught speeding on the mainland has been banned from the road.

The case of Michelle Moore, of Main Road, Brighstone, was heard before Guildford magistrates on Wednesday, March 6.

The 44-year-old was charged with speeding, in Hook, Surrey, on May 23 of last year.

The court heard she drove a Porsche on the A3 Esher Bypass while exceeding the 50mph speed limit, and was caught by an automatic camera device.

Moore was banned from driving for six months; an obligatory disqualification for repeat offending.

She was also fined £148, ordered to pay costs of £90, a £59 surcharge, and her driving record was endorsed with three penalty points.
