Yesterday (Saturday, March 16), saw hundreds of Islanders stranded in Southampton ferry terminal, left with no option but to wait to board the Red Osprey vehicle ferry.

Due to technical issues on both Red Jet 7 and 6, the hi-speed passenger service was suspended and will now remain off until at least Tuesday (March 19).

Isle of Wight County Press:

Later in the afternoon, as Red Jet passengers queued alongside customers at the vehicle ferry dock, many watched on as Red Falcon was towed away.

This left only Red Osprey in service - out of the entire Red Funnel fleet - and the route saw more cancellations and delays.

The vehicle ferries are running every hour-and-a-half from East Cowes and Southampton.
