ARMED police responded to an incident in Lake on the Isle of Wight this afternoon (Friday).
At around 5.15pm, officers were called to Sandown Road.
They had received a report of an individual stood at a bus stop holding an item which looked like a firearm.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said officers conducted a “significant search of the area”.
No arrests were made, and no further reports have been received at this time, confirmed police.
