A POPULAR Isle of Wight seafront restaurant is set to open at the end of the month following a "transformative revival", its new directors have said.
Off the Rails - Yarmouth Limited have today (Wednesday) officially announced the acquisition of Sandown's "beloved culinary gem", The Bandstand, on Culver Parade.
In 2021, after seven successful years, the business was put up for sale and subsequently closed its doors in March last year.

However, now under new management, it is hoped the once-popular dining spot can be revitalised, with its owners aiming to offer "the same Bandstand, re-imagined".
Located along Sandown seafront, which boasts panoramic views of Sandown Bay, the iconic venue is set to undergo what is being described as "a transformative revival" under the guidance of directors and Islanders, Philippe Blot and Roger Hewins.
Phillipe and Roger are renowned for their railway-themed dining experience at Off the Rails, Yarmouth.
Philippe, sharing his vision for The Bandstand, explained: "Our goal is to build and create a unique dining experience that captures the essence of the British seaside.
"From savoury hints of seaweed, to whimsical cotton candy, every dish will evoke the nostalgia and charm of a day by the sea.
"Behind the scenes, The Bandstand is abuzz with activity, as a passionate local team prepares to welcome guests.
"The interior is undergoing a top to bottom redecoration, while the culinary team is crafting a menu brimming with surprises.
"We invite guests (and their canine companions) to join us on this exciting journey.
