POLICE have issued an appeal to find a woman missing — believed to still be on the Isle of Wight.

UPDATE: The woman has been found safe, police have confirmed. 

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary needs our help to find Charlene Worthington.

The 40-year-old was last seen in Newport at about 10.10am today (Tuesday, March 12), police say.

Charlene is described as white, 5ft 3in tall with short, blonde hair.

"We believe she’s still on the Isle of Wight, but she does have connections to the Northampton area and it is possible she may be travelling there," say investigators.

"We’re concerned for her welfare."
