Isle of Wight firefighters are responding to an incident in the centre of Newport this morning (Tuesday, March 12).

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called at 9.40pm, and crews from Newport Fire Station were sent to Pyle Street.
Two fire engines have arrived at the scene, accompanied by an aerial ladder platform.
Fire crews have entered a construction site off Pyle Street, behind the soon-to-open NHS Mental Health Hub on the High Street.
Access along Pyle Street has been maintained at this time.
Hampshire and IW Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for a statement.
