The director general of the British Chambers of Commerce, Shevaun Haviland, is to pay a visit to the Isle of Wight.
Ms Haviland has headed up the business organisation since 2021, joining from the government's Cabinet Office, where she worked for five years running the Business Partnerships team and leading the Inclusive Economy Partnership.
Previously, Shevaun was the founding director of the Academy of Digital Business Leaders and was also director of Independents United.
The Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce says her visit is part of a rare and exclusive networking opportunity.
"Shevaun is one of the most important and influential people in UK business," said IW
Chamber Chief Executive, Steven Holbrook.
"She has the ear of British business and in Whitehall she is the voice of business.
"We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity to our members."
Ms Haviland will be meeting chamber members during a working lunch at Ryde School, on
Wednesday April 3.
There will also be a Q and A business forum, allowing Island business people to find out more about best practice.
The session will run between 12pm and 2pm.
