Islanders will be turning up on two wheels for a Cyclewight mass bike ride with a mission, on Saturday.

Organisers want participants to "wear bright colours, be loud and show the world how our streets can be for everyone - especially children and other vulnerable users."

Part of the Kidical Mass bike ride movement, which has seen hundreds of participants taking part in events around the world, the Island ride will start at Seaclose Park in Newport.

Those taking part will meet from 10am, for a 10.30am start and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

The ride-out is part of a world-wide mission to make getting around safer for children and young people.
