WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.
WOOTTON: Briddlesford Road will be closed during utility works, between its junctions with Robin Hill and just past Combley Lane, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, March 15. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
GURNARD: Cockleton Lane will be shut during utility works, between its junctions with Pallance Road and Hilton Road, from 8am on Monday until 6pm on Friday, July 5. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
VENTNOR: Newport Road will be closed during utility works, between its junctions with Gills Cliff Road and Cornwall Road, from 9am on Wednesday until 5pm on Wednesday, March 27.
Also, Gills Cliff Road will be shut during utility works, between its junctions with Castle Road and Whitwell Road, between 9am on Tuesday and 5pm on Wednesday.
Trinity Road will be closed during utility works, between its junctions with Madeira Road and Trinity Road (eastern section), between 9.30am and 3.30pm daily, on Thursday and Friday, March 15.
Alternative routes will be signposted locally.
CARISBROOKE: Castle Lane will be shut during utility works, along its entire length, from 8.30am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, March 22. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
COWES: Esplanade Road will be closed during utility works, along its entire length, between 8am and 5pm on Thursday. There is no alternative route.
Also, York Street will be shut during carriageway repair works, along its entire length, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, March 15.
TOTLAND: Hurst Hill will be shut during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, March 22.
Also, Cliff Road will be closed during tree works, between its junctions with Woodlands and Totland Footpath 33, over one shift sometime on Monday.
Alternative routes will be signposted locally.
EAST COWES: Columbine Road will be closed during utility works, along its entire length, between 8am and 5pm on Thursday. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
WROXALL: Redhill Lane will be shut during carriageway repairs, tree works and ditch works, between its junctions with Shanklin Road and Godshill Footpath 43, over three shifts until Tuesday. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
SHANKLIN: Victoria Avenue will be closed during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Westhill Road and Furze Hill, over one shift until Monday. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
FRESHWATER: Gate Lane will be shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with The Square and Freshwater Footpath 50, over one shift sometime until Monday. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
NEWPORT: Angelica Grove will be closed during development works, along its entire length from the junction with Godric Road, from 9am until 3.30pm daily, between Monday and Friday, May 31.
Also, during the same period for development works, Pennycress Drive and Lavender Way will close along their entire lengths, from Godric Road, and Godric Road will close between its junctions with Wintergreen Gardens an Foundry Road.
Blacklands Lane will be shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Briddlesford Road and Newport Footpath 94, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday.
Alternative routes will be signposted locally.
GODSHILL: Bagwich Lane will be shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Southview and Godshill Footpath 22, over one shift sometime from now until Tuesday. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
HAVENSTREET: Combley Road will be closed during gully and carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Combley Farm Lane and Newport Bridleway 17, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
ST HELENS: Eddington Road will be shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Upper Green Road and Ryde Footpath 83, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
CALBOURNE: Quarry lane will be closed during drainage works, between its junctions with Calbourne Lane and Street Place, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, March 15.
Also, Elm Lane will be shut during drainage works, along its entire length, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, March 15.
Alternative routes will be signposted locally.
BEMBRIDGE: Howgate Road will be shut during drainage works, between its junctions with Hillway and Nansen Close, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, March 15. An alternative route will be signposted locally.
