An Isle of Wight arts cafe is to close as it prepares for a refurbishment and expansion.
Monkton Arts, on East Street, Ryde has unveiled plans to take over the former Bert's Motorcycles unit across the road. The bike repair and service business has moved a short distance away.
Co-owner Dawn Fidler, who runs Monkton Arts alongside her daughter Jenna Sabine, said: "We're creating additional space for another gallery, new courses and art spaces to work in and sell from.
"But this doesn't mean the current venue will be shutting down.
"Far from it - in the existing building we'll be expanding the kitchen, giving us a chance to offer a bigger menu."
With the challenges posed by Covid and major flooding in the area last year, Dawn said the cafe has struggled to survive.
But she says the team has 'prevailed' thanks to the 'determination, hard work, and continued support' of the community.
Work on both properties will take place over Easter week.
It means the cafe will be close from Thursday, March 29 until Wednesday, April 3.
Before closing, a fundraising event featuring local musicians and artists is being held at the cafe on Friday, March 22.
All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards the refurbishment.
