Isle of Wight firefighters are among those called to a major fire in Southampton this afternoon (Wednesday).
Eighteen fire engines were called to the scene of the blaze in the St Mary's industrial estate, near St Mary’s Stadium.
The fire involved four industrial units just yards away from the ground, and there are currently around 100 firefighters in attendance, tackling the fire.
Among those called to the scene is a single fire crew from Ryde on the Isle of Wight.

They were sent across to provide standby cover.
The fire has seen Southampton FC’s Championship fixture against Preston, which was fixed for 7.45pm tonight, postponed.

Red Funnel's extra sailings tonight, originally for Saints fans travelling to and from the game, will remain on the timetable.
People in the area have been advised to keep windows and doors closed due to the amount of smoke.
