AN ISLE of Wight woman who trespassed and stole cash from a bedroom on mainland has been sentenced for burglary without violence.

The case of Kimberly Walters, of Hope Road, Shanklin, was heard before Kirklees magistrates on Tuesday, February 20.

At a previous hearing in December last year, the 39-year-old admitted burglary dwelling and theft - without violence, on Peel Street, Sowerby Bridge, on April 26, 2022.

The court heard she stole cash from a bedroom to the value of £200.

Walters was made subject of a 12-month community order, to include 15 rehabilitation days, and fined £150.

She was ordered to pay £10 compensation, costs of £85 and a £114 surcharge.
