An air ambulance has landed near an Isle of Wight ferry terminal following an incident.
Red Funnel car ferry services are currently suspended.
The Kent, Surrey and Sussex helicopter has been seen over East Cowes.
The air ambulance has landed near Red Funnel's car ferry terminal and Venture Quays.
Police have also been called, the County Press has been told.
The ferry firm has said it follows a medical emergency on board one of its vessels.
An eyewitness said passengers remain onboard Red Osprey, which is berthed at East Cowes.
According to MarineTraffic.com, Red Falcon is currently in the middle of the Solent.

Red Funnel has said the 12pm from Southampton is delayed by up to an hour, while the 12pm from East Cowes is delayed by two hours.
