AN ISLE of Wight man stole expensive bottles of alcohol during two visits to B&M on the same day.
Harry White, currently in HMP Isle of Wight, appeared before Isle of Wight magistrates on Friday, March 1.
The 23-year-old admitted two counts of theft, in Newport, on January 17.
Prosecutor, Munayah Hussan, said a supervisor from B&M contacted police.
She said White entered the store at around 1pm, went straight to the spirit aisle and selected a bottle of alcohol valued at £41.
Ms Hussan said he left without paying, and returned to the store around four hours later, stealing another bottle of the same alcohol.
On the second occasion, Ms Hussan said White was stopped by store staff and refused to pay.
The court heard White had 21 previous convictions for 42 offences.
Barry Arnett, defending, said White had little to no recollection of the events and was identified by police from CCTV video stills.
White was ordered to pay £82 compensation.
