WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

SHANKLIN: Cross Street will shut during utility works, between its junctions with North Road and Palmerston Road, from 9am on Wednesday until 6pm on Friday, March 8.

Also, Godshill Road will close during tree works, between its junctions with Upper Hyde Lane and Newchurch Bridleway 37A, over one shift sometime on Monday. 

Alternative routes will be signposted locally.

SHALFLEET: Main Road will close during utility works, between its junctions with Corf Road and Mill Road, between 7pm and 6am nightly, between Monday and Friday, March 8. An alternative route will be signposted locally.

VENTNOR: Bonchurch Village Road will shut during utility works, between its junctions with East Dene Lane and Shore Road, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Wednesday.

Also, Zig Zag Road will close during utility works, between its junctions with St Albans Road and Bellevue Road, between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday.

Bonchurch Shute will shut during wall maintenance, between its junctions with Leeson Road and The Pitts, between Monday and Friday, March 29.

Alternative routes will be signposted locally.

PORCHFIELD: Main Road and Whitehouse Cross will close during utility works, along their entire lengths, from 9.30am on Monday until 3.30pm on Friday, March 29. An alternative route will be signposted locally.

Also, the Calbourne and Porchfield Footpath 28 will shut during utility works, along its entire length, from 6am on Thursday until 6pm on Friday, March 15. For an alternative route, use nearby footpaths.

CHALE: Upper House Lane will shut during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, March 22. There is no alternative route.

Also, Chale Street will close during utility works, between its junctions with Church Place and Gotten Lane, between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday. An alternative route will be signposted locally.

Blackgang Old Road will shut during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 6pm on Tuesday, March 19. An alternative route will be signposted locally.

SANDOWN: The Promenade will close during utility works, between its junctions with Ferncliff Path and a point 200m south-west thereof, from 9am on Monday until 5pm on Sunday, March 24.

Also, Avenue Road will shut during railway bridge track repair works, between its junctions with Perowne Way and Tamar Close, from 6pm on Friday, March 8, and 6am on Monday, March 11.

Alternative routes will be signposted locally.

BRIGHSTONE: Coastguard Lane will shut during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Tuesday, March 19. There is no alternative route.

Also, Limerstone Road will close during utility works, along its entire length, between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted locally.

EAST COWES: St David's Road will close during carriageway repair works, from its junction with Yarborough Road southbound along its entire length, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. There is no alternative route.

NITON: Rectory Lane will shut during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Tuesday, March 12.

Also, Old Blackgang Road will close during tree works, from its junction with Sandrock Road and along its entire length, over two shifts sometime between Thursday and Friday, March 8.

There are no alternative routes.

ARRETON: Bury Lane will close during iron works, along its entire length, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted locally.

GODSHILL: Merryl Lane will close during carriageway repair works, along its entire length, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday.

Also, Lessland Lane will shut during tree works, between its junctions with Shanklin Road and Godshill Footpath 31, over one shift sometime on Wednesday. 

Alternative routes will be signposted locally.

BRADING: East Ashey Lane will close during furniture repair works, between its junctions with Ashey Road and Ryde Footpath 30.

Also, Lower Road will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Brading Footpath 44 and Well Lane, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. 

Alternative routes will be signposted locally.

NEWPORT: Betty Haunt Lane will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Calbourne Road and Newport Footpath 149, over one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, March 8. An alternative route will be signposted locally.

NEWCHURCH: Bridleway 42 will close during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 6pm on Friday, March 29. For an alternative route, use nearby footpaths.
