Three men have been arrested after thieves broke into an Isle of Wight Co-op store in an overnight burglary.
Police were called at 10.53pm on Sunday (February 25) to reports that alleged offenders had forced entry and stolen a quantity of cash at the Co-op on Landguard Road in Shanklin.
Three men, aged 33, 37 and 41, all from Southampton, have been arrested on suspicion of non-dwelling aggravated burglary and are currently in police custody.

A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson said: "Officers would like to speak to anyone with information about this incident.
"Were you in the area at the time? Did you see anyone in the area who you think might be connected? If you have information please contact us as soon as possible."

Simon, from Landguard Road Co-op, said: “I just wanted to explain that the store won't be open for trading for a period today due to an issue last night.
“I am very sorry for any inconvenience, and we will get back to serving you as soon as we can. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
