An Isle of Wight school has issued a statement after a student was taken unwell after smoking a vape.
The school has sought to clarify that the two incidents are separate.
It said the first saw a student taken ill in the classroom and an ambulance was called.

Duncan Mills, Executive Headteacher and Emma Bowden, Headteacher, said: "Our initial understanding is that this was linked to a reaction to a vape.
"Investigations are still ongoing, but this serves as a timely reminder that vaping in any form is not ‘safe’ or risk free, especially for children, and that the long term impacts of vaping are not understood."
For this reason, staff will be reminding students of the potential dangers of vaping during tutor time and assemblies over the coming week and letters have been sent to parents.
The second incident was completely unrelated, the school said.
A student was taken unwell due to a medical condition and again an ambulance was called.
Mrs Mills and Mr Bowden added: "A nearby fire engine responded to provide first responder assistance and make the student comfortable until the ambulance arrived.
"Medical tests undertaken at St Mary’s Hospital yesterday afternoon have confirmed that this was purely medical in nature.
"We thank the emergency services and our staff for their swift and professional response to these incidents to ensure that our community was safeguarded."
The school said the families of those students were informed immediately and at no point was it place in a ‘lockdown’ situation.
Students were kept in at break and lunch due to the wet weather conditions, and access to the canteen and toilet facilities was maintained.
This is in line with our standard wet break and lunch arrangements.
