Witnesses are being sought after a 19-year-old motorcyclist was injured in a crash near Rookley on the Isle of Wight.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said it was called to Merstone Lane on Tuesday, February 20.

Police were alerted at 4.29pm.

One vehicle, a motorcycle, was involved

Officers said the rider, a 19-year-old man from Ventnor, suffered injuries. He was airlifted to hospital.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and information.
