An Isle of Wight trail has been named the best hidden gem dog walk in the UK, according to the outdoor dog specialists at Ruffwear.

The Alum Bay to Freshwater Bay walk, located in the Isle of Wight's National Landscape area - formerly called an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - was ranked number one on the list of 10.

To discover the best hidden gem dog walks Ruffwear applied the ‘dog-friendly’, ‘hiking’ and ‘walking’, and ‘4.5 stars and over’ filter to AllTrails.

The data was then indexed by the rating and the number of reviews to find the highest-rated dog walks, with it needing to have at least 30 reviews to be considered.
