Here's why there are long delays on Wightlink's Fishbourne car ferry.
WIGHLINK is warning of delays on one of its car ferry services this morning – of up to two hours – due to a technical issue.
The cross-Solent operator’s Fishbourne to Portsmouth route is affected.
Wightlink has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
“If you are travelling from Portsmouth to Fishbourne, you will get away on time,” said a spokesperson for Wightlink.
“The delay is affecting traffic from Fishbourne to Portsmouth only.”
Red Funnel, meanwhile, has cancelled a number of its vehicle ferry sailings due to essential maintenance on the aft engine of Red Osprey.
The 12pm and 3pm sailings from Southampton, and 1.30pm and 4.30pm sailings from Cowes have been cancelled.
