TWO men have been charged in connection with a burglary in Sandown on the Isle of Wight.
Yesterday (Friday), it was revealed thousands of pounds had been stolen during a late night burglary at the Co-operative on Sandown High Street.
Two people were arrested on suspicion of burglary, and two men have since been charge.
Billy Craig Connis, 33, of Bernard Street, Southampton, has been charged with burglary and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place, and remanded in custody to appear before Southampton magistrates today (Saturday).
Thomas Paul Edward Weller, 37, of Mousehole Lane, Southampton, has been charged with burglary and using a motor vehicle without third party insurance, and released on conditional bail to appear before Isle of Wight magistrates on March 26.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said it was called to the Sandown High Street shop after an intruder alarm was activated.
Police were alerted at around 10.15pm.
On arrival, officers noticed entry had been forced to the premises and £5,000 in cash was stolen.
