A temporary Isle of Wight bus timetable has been released for travel on Southern Vectis’ route three amid the ongoing closure of the main Shanklin to Ventnor route following a landslide in December.
Due to the closure of Leeson Road in Bonchurch, Southern Vectis passengers are advised to take note of changes to route three – between Newport and Ryde via Ventnor – bus timetable.
A public meeting will be held later this month to discuss the findings of an independent investigation into the December 2023 landslide and the feasibility of Leeson Road reopening.

A key impact of change is the temporary suspension of bus services between Shanklin Daish Hotel to Chimney Steps until further notice.
Passengers are advised that the nearest available stops during this period will be Ventnor’s Trinity Church or Shanklin Community Centre.
The revised timetable aims to minimise inconvenience for passengers while ensuring efficient and reliable route three service along the diversionary route.
