A collision between a van and a cyclist prompted a police response to Ryde yesterday (Wednesday)

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said 'minor injuries' were reported.

Police were called to West Street at around 6pm.

Paramedics also attended.

The road had to closed between its junctions with Ratcliffe Avenue and Hill Street.

It reopened shortly afterwards.
