An Isle of Wight ferry has extended its revised timetable until at least tomorrow lunchtime (Thursday), due to weather and operating issues.
Red Funnel has announced that due to the 'current weather forecast and tidal conditions', alongside Red Jet 6's 'operating limitations', the vessel will not return to service today (Wednesday).
As a result, the Cowes-Southampton passenger service will operate a revised timetable.
The timetable will be active for the remainder of today (Wednesday) and tomorrow morning, the cross-Solent operator said.
For the remainder of today, the Red Jet timetable is:
- Departing Southampton: 3.35pm, 4.10pm, 4.45pm, 5.20pm, 5.55pm, 6.30pm, 7.40pm, 9.05pm and 10.30pm.
- Departing Cowes: 3.35pm, 4.10pm, 4.45pm, 5.20pm, 5.55pm, 6.30pm, 7.05pm, 8.15pm, 9.40pm and 11.05pm.
Red Funnel has yet to release its revised timetable for Thursday.
A spokesperson said: "Please check our live service status before travel. Apologies for any inconvenience caused to your journey."
UPDATE: Red Funnel has now announced Red Jet 6 will return to service from 7.15am departing Southampton and 7.50am departing Cowes, on Thursday.
Red Jet services will return to its normal timetable following these sailings.
