ISLE of Wight police responded to a crash near Ryde yesterday evening (Tuesday) – an incident they were alerted to by an automated response.
At around 6.50pm, officers were called to the scene on Rowlands Lane.
On arrival, they found a grey BMW had flipped into a hedge and its airbags had been deployed.
Its two occupants were treated by paramedics, police have confirmed, and minor injuries were reported.
Police say the emergency centre was alerted by an automated response from either an iPhone or the vehicle itself.
