EMERGENCY service teams were alerted to a crash in Cowes on Friday afternoon.
A single fire crew from the town was among those called to the scene on St Mary’s Road.
They were responding to a report of a car crashing into a building.
The crew were able to move the vehicle and assist police with assessing the stability of the building, said a spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.
Firefighters stood down and returned to station at around 5.20pm.
