German kitchen retailer Kutchenhaus is celebrating its first year welcoming customers to its Isle of Wight showroom.
Kutchenhaus opened its first Island store on February 6, 2023, in the former Maplin unit at the Multiplex Building on Coppins Bridge.
Operations at the store are overseen by branch director Owen, manager Peter, customer relations manager Jess, and lead designer Mark - with area sales designer Dean pitching in.
Upon opening, staff hoped to create a comfortable environment for customers visiting the showroom, which the tight-knit team believe they excel at providing.
Peter, who moved to the Island about eight years ago, said: “We weren’t sure what to expect when we opened, but the past year has been really busy!
“There was some negativity initially with the cost-of-living crisis, but the reception has been brilliant.
“We look forward to continuing to offer German quality at a sensible price.”
Peter told the County Press the current kitchen trend is dark and handleless, with the previous favourite being cream and sage colours.
This year, Kutchenhaus is looking forward to offering Islanders a range of new coral and jade-coloured kitchens.
Owen, who is also a director at Kutchenhaus’ Bournemouth store, said aqua has been a popular kitchen colour for Islanders, more so than mainland customers.
Kutchenhaus IOW is open six days a week, from 9.30am to 5pm.
