A WOMAN will appear in court, charged with trespassing on railway lines in Ryde, Isle of Wight.
On Thursday afternoon, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary police officers attended St John's Hill after reports of a woman on the railway lines.
The Island Line trains had to be suspended for the afternoon because the power had to be turned off.
When the police arrived, the woman made off and was located a short time later on a nearby road.
Jade Sandells, 26, of Esplanade, Ryde has been charged with trespassing in proximity of a railway and intentionally or recklessly causing a public nuisance.
She will appear at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on February 16.
