An investigation is underway after a safe was reported stolen from an Isle of Wight town centre shop in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said it was called to The Works, St James’ Square, Newport at 8.04am.
Police received reports of a burglary.
Officers said it is believed to have happened between 2am and 2.30am this morning.
A safe was reported stolen and it's understood the door was smashed.
Officers have launched an investigation.
