A two-vehicle crash has closed an Isle of Wight High Street this evening (Tuesday, January 30).
The collision happened at the traffic lights on Newport High Street, on the St James' Street junction.
Police have closed the High Street while emergency teams deal with the incident.
The road is expected to reopen shortly after the junction has been deemed safe.
Southern Vectis' route one between Newport and Cowes has been diverted via South Street, Coppins Bridge and Medina Way and is unable to serve Lower St James Street and Town Gate bus stops.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary have been contacted for a statement.
