POLICE have charged an Isle of Wight man with multiple shop thefts, which included him allegedly using violence against a member of supermarket staff.
Daniel Jeavons, of Ryde Esplanade, will face four counts of shoplifting and one of common assault.
It is alleged a member of staff was pushed during one of the incidents on January 28.
All the thefts are said to have taken place at Morrison's in Ryde.
The 32-year-old will appear before Island magistrates on February 13.
