An Isle of Wight ferry operator has announced changes to its boarding process to allow work to be carried out at Portsmouth Harbour.
Essential maintenance of the gangway at Wightlink’s Portsmouth Harbour FastCat port will see the boarding and discharging of the vessels change for three weeks.
The change will be in place between Tuesday, February 20 – Tuesday, March 5.
There will be no changes at Ryde Pier Head during this period.
All customers will board from the Portsmouth Harbour's south end berth, which includes a steep slope and a small number of steps.
Passengers using the ferry during the first three months of 2022 will remember using the outdoor route during Wightlink’s terminal upgrade.
The ferry operator is advising customers with wheelchairs, mobility scooters, prams and heavy luggage to use its car ferry service from Fishbourne-Portsmouth or travel with Hovertravel between Ryde-Southsea.
Wightlink tickets, including multilink and season ticket passes, will be accepted on all Hovertravel services, including the Hover Bus from Southsea to Portsmouth Hard.
