Lost tortoise in Sandown (Image: Wildheart Animal Sanctuary)
An Isle of Wight animal sanctuary is hoping to reunite a lost tortoise with its owner in Sandown.
The lost pet was handed over to staff at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary this afternoon (Friday, January 26).
Wildheart staff are seeking the owner of the adventurous spur-thighed tortoise and believe it may be from the Sandown area.
The tortoise is now in the care of the animal team at the Yaverland Road-based sanctuary.
