A popular Isle of Wight attraction will be forced to close next week due to roadworks on the main road blocking visitors and staff.
Island Roads will start essential work on Alum Bay New Road, leading into The Needles Landmark Attraction, on Monday, January 29.
Due to the roadworks, there will be no vehicle access to The Needles, forcing the temporary closure of the attraction for three days.
During these works, Island Roads will be 'undertaking the reconstruction of the carriageway'.
There will be no vehicle access between 8am – 4pm, but walkers who still want to visit The Needles will have access, said the attraction.
Cyclists will also have access but will have to dismount at the closure and walk around until beyond the roadworks.
The Needles Landmark Attraction will be closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week, and will reopen on Thursday, February 1.
