Isle of Wight firefighters have rescued a horse after it became trapped in a stable.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to a farm on Burnt House Lane, on the outskirts of Newport, just after 11am.
A horse had become trapped in a stable, with its legs stuck behind a pillar, the fire service said.
Two engines from Newport and Shanklin fire stations attended.
Working with the owner and a vet, the animal was sedated and lifted out.
The horse was left in care of vet and the owner.
Firefighters have now left the incident.
At the time of departure, a fire service spokesperson said the horse was fit and well.
