A main Isle of Wight road was closed following a four car crash in Arreton this afternoon (Thursday).
Emergency services were called to an accident at Hale Common at 3.23pm.
Firefighters from Ryde and Shanklin were called to the scene as well as officers from the Isle of Wight police.

The road was closed for a time, which led to increasing tailbacks along the A3056 towards Arreton, near The Fighting Cocks public house and restaurant.
UPDATE:
The road has since re-opened, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed.
Minor injuries have been reported.
