An overnight burglary saw a large quantity of cash stolen from a town centre Co-op store on the Isle of Wight.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said it was called to the shop, on York Avenue, East Cowes, in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).
Entry was forced to the premises, police said.
As the County Press previously reported, a police cordon was erected around the Co-op.
Officers were in attendance and the shop was shut this morning.
The break-in saw the shop's automatic door left ajar.
A police spokesperson said: "Enquiries remain ongoing, and anyone who has any information to assist our investigation is urged to contact police on 101, quoting 44240023220."
